As Metin Akdurak Lojistik ("Makotrans"), we have prepared this Notice to inform you about the processing, storage, and transfer of your personal data in our capacity as data controller under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK") and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR").
1. Personal Data Processed
When you visit our website and contact us, the following personal data may be processed:
- Identity and contact data: name, surname, company name, email address, phone number (if you complete the contact/quote form)
- Transaction and request data: the content of your message and details of the service you request
- Digital trace data: IP address, browser and device information, website usage and navigation data (via cookies)
2. Purposes of Processing
Your personal data is processed for the following purposes:
- Responding to your contact and quote requests
- Providing and carrying out our logistics and transport services
- Managing customer relationships
- Analyzing and improving our website's performance
- Fulfilling our legal obligations
3. Legal Grounds
Your data is processed on the legal grounds set out in Article 5 of the KVKK (and, where applicable, Article 6 of the GDPR): your explicit consent, necessity for the performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, and the legitimate interests of the data controller. Analytics and marketing cookies are processed solely on the basis of your explicit consent.
4. Cookies and Analytics Tools
Our website uses cookies to improve visitor experience and analyze site traffic. For this purpose we use Google Analytics 4, which may process data such as your IP address and browsing behavior. 5. Transfer of Personal Data
Your personal data may be transferred to our domestic and international business partners, suppliers, and service providers (for example, to Google LLC in connection with Google Analytics) in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK and the relevant provisions of the GDPR, subject to appropriate safeguards. International transfers are carried out based on your explicit consent or the other conditions provided by law.
6. Retention Period
Your personal data is retained for as long as required by the processing purpose and the retention periods stipulated by applicable legislation, after which it is deleted, destroyed, or anonymized.
7. Your Rights
Under Article 11 of the KVKK (and the corresponding rights under the GDPR), you have the right to: learn whether your data is processed, request information about it, learn the purpose of processing, know the third parties to whom it is transferred domestically or abroad, request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, request its deletion or destruction, object to processing, and claim compensation for damages.
